About Me

Athens, Ohio, United States
I work in the library at Ohio University. My hobby is almost any kind of cooking. I love to make bread, I am learning to make artisan chocolates and I am the Dessert queen of the library. Interestingly, I don't particularly like sweets myself, I just love to make them for others.

Special Needs Students and IT

After much searching, I found several podcasts that I thought both interesting and relevant. My daughter teaches in a school exclusively for students with special needs. Most if not all of these students will never live independently, read, write or talk. This does not mean that they can never learn anything or experience the real world. IT can help these special students achieve all they can. The titles are: Overview of Learning Disabilities, Learning Disabilities: From Theory to Application and Learning Disabilities and the Power of Assistive Technology.

Wow! I don't know how I missed that. Sorry, and THANK YOU!
I know of some really cool adaptive products sites, including some of these technologies, if you like. What a cool post.
